TurboThe running cost report puts every vehicle's spend for a period in one table, and works out what it comes to per kilometre driven.
It is the report to open when you want to know which van is the expensive one, or what a vehicle costs you before you decide whether to replace it.
What it shows
Fuel, servicing, tolls, fines, insurance and other recorded expenses for each vehicle over the period you pick, the distance it travelled, and the cost per kilometre that falls out of the two.
It is a wide table, eleven columns, so read it on the web app or take the CSV.
These are operating figures for your own use, not tax deductions. And insurance premiums count in the month they take effect, so a month containing a renewal will look dearer than the ones either side of it. That is the premium landing, not the van getting worse.
Getting the numbers right
The report can only roll up what has been recorded. A fill-up paid in cash and never entered is not in it. If a vehicle looks implausibly cheap, the usual cause is missing entries rather than a frugal driver.
Distance comes from recorded trips, so a period where automatic logging was off will understate kilometres and overstate the cost per kilometre.
