Safety inspections
Keep each vehicle's safety inspection certificate on file — inspection and expiry dates, the station that did it, the report reference and the certificate itself.

TurboCan't find this in your app? Your business owner can switch the Safety Inspection module off, which hides it for everyone — there's no message when that happens. An owner or admin can turn it back on in Settings → Business settings → Active Modules.
A safety inspection record is where a vehicle's inspection certificate lives: when it was inspected, when the certificate runs out, who inspected it and what the report said. Australia calls the same thing different names — pink slip in NSW, roadworthy certificate in Victoria, safety certificate in Queensland — and Axlerun stores them all the same way.
Add an inspection
From the vehicle's Manage grid tap Safety, then + Add.
Choose the Inspection Type and Status — pass, fail, or whatever your inspector recorded.
Set the Inspection Date and the Expiry Date from the certificate. The expiry date is what drives the countdown and the alert.
Add the Odometer Reading and Amount so the inspection also lands in the vehicle's cost history.
Record the Provider (the station), the Inspector and the Report Reference Number, then attach the certificate under Documents and tap save.
Why some vehicles show a countdown and others don't
Only some states run inspections on a schedule. Where they do, Axlerun shows a countdown to expiry and warns you before the certificate lapses. Where the inspection is triggered by an event instead — a sale, a transfer, a re-registration — there is no recurring due date to count down to, so the row stays but the countdown doesn't appear.
Under the countdown you'll see a short line explaining the regime Axlerun applied to that vehicle — its state, and why it's on a schedule or not. That wording comes straight from the compliance rules rather than being guessed in the app.
A NSW vehicle newer than five years is the case that surprises people most: it sits under a periodic regime, but the annual obligation hasn't started yet. The row is there, and the countdown isn't — that's correct, not a bug.
Fleet-wide view
The Safety Inspections overview on the home screen lists every vehicle's inspection status in one place, filtered to the vehicles the schedule actually applies to, so an event-triggered vehicle doesn't sit there looking overdue forever.
Axlerun records and reminds; it doesn't book the inspection or issue the certificate. Booking straight through to an authorised inspection station is on the roadmap, not in the app today.
