Record an incident

Log an accident or damage with the resolution details and photos, so there's a clear paper trail from what happened to how it was sorted.

Can't find this in your app? Your business owner can switch the Incident module off, which hides it for everyone — there's no message when that happens. An owner or admin can turn it back on in Settings → Business settings → Active Modules.

An incident record is the paper trail for anything that happened to a vehicle — a prang, damage, a claim — from the event itself through to how it was resolved. Photos and the insurer's details live on the same record, so it's all in one place when someone asks.

Record one

  1. From the vehicle's Manage grid tap Incidents, then + Add.

  2. Enter the Incident Date, Incident Type, and — if you have them — the location and a description of what happened.

  3. Fill in the Resolution section as things progress: police report number, insurer, cost, notes, and the Resolved Date.

  4. Attach any photos, then tap Save Incident.

An incident counts as resolved once it has a Resolved Date. Until then it shows in the fleet's Unresolved Incidents view and counts toward your fleet issues — so filling in that date when it's sorted keeps your issue count honest.
