Edit, split and merge trips
Adjust where a trip started and ended, split one journey into two, or merge legs back into a single trip — on a map, before the logbook is classified.
Automatic recording gets the shape of a day right most of the time, and occasionally not. A trip starts in the driveway rather than at the gate, one job runs into the next and records as a single journey, or a stop for fuel splits one drive into two.
Trip editing fixes those against the map, rather than by retyping odometer readings and hoping.
Off by default. An owner turns it on under Modules → Trips. Until then nothing in the app offers it.
What you can change
Adjust start and end — move where the trip begins or finishes.
Split — cut one recorded journey into two at a point along the route.
Merge — join separate legs back into one trip.
Adjusting the boundaries
Open the trip and choose to adjust it. The route is drawn on a full-screen map with a draggable pin at each end.
You can move a boundary three ways: drag the pin along the route, search for a place by name, or extend it to a point the route never quite reached — useful when recording started a street late and the real beginning is a corner the GPS never saw.
The times update as you move the pin, so the trip's start and end stay consistent with where you have put them.
Splitting and merging
Splitting asks you for the point to cut at, and produces two trips either side of it. Merging shows both routes on one map, with the joining stretch between them drawn in, so you can see what you are about to combine rather than trusting two timestamps to be adjacent.
What you cannot edit, and why
Only unclassified trips can be split or merged. Once a trip is classified business or private it is part of a logbook that may already have been exported, and editing it would change a record someone has relied on.
Only the driver a trip belongs to can adjust it. Someone else's trip is their record to correct.
If a trip needs changing after it has been classified, unclassify it first, or move it to the right vehicle if that is the actual problem.
Where to find it
From the trip itself — open it from the Logbook or from your trips list — or straight from the review deck while you are classifying.
