Insurance & renewals

Keep each vehicle's policy and expiry date on file so a renewal never sneaks up — the expiry is what the reminders are built on.

Can't find this in your app? Your business owner can switch the Insurance module off, which hides it for everyone — there's no message when that happens. An owner or admin can turn it back on in Settings → Business settings → Active Modules.

Insurance records do two jobs: they keep the policy details where you can find them, and their expiry date is what drives the compliance status and renewal reminders. A vehicle with no expiry on file can't warn you before the policy lapses.

Add a policy

  1. From the vehicle's Manage grid tap Insurance, then + Add.

  2. Enter the Insurance Provider, Insurance Category and Policy Number.

  3. Set the Effective Date and Expiry Date. The expiry is the important one — it's what the status chip and reminders use.

  4. Add the payment amount and frequency, attach the policy document, and tap Save Insurance.

In NSW, compulsory third party (CTP, the "green slip") is a separate record from your ordinary insurance — you'll see it on the vehicle profile as CTPI, kept apart so both expiries are tracked.

Across the fleet

The fleet Insurance view lists every vehicle with its status — "Expires in days", "Due", "Overdue" — so you can renew before anything lapses rather than after.
