Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

These terms are a contract between you and Axle Group Pty Ltd (ACN 701 744 229) (“Axlerun”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Axlerun app on iOS, Android and the web (app.axlerun.com.au) and this website. By creating an account or using Axlerun you agree to them. We've kept them short and in plain English. The line in italics under each heading is a summary, not a substitute for the words below it. If anything is unclear, email hello@axlerun.com.au.

1. Your account

Keep your details accurate and your login private.

  • Axlerun is built for businesses and sole traders managing vehicles for work. You must be at least 18 and give us accurate details.
  • You're responsible for everything done under your login. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
  • If you sign in with Apple or Google, their terms also apply to that sign-in.

2. Businesses and drivers

The business that sets up the account is in charge of it, and is responsible for how it uses tracking.

  • The person who creates a business in Axlerun is its account owner. Owners and admins can invite drivers, allocate vehicles, see trips, live vehicle locations, driver scores and reports for that business, and remove people.
  • If you were invited as a driver, the business you joined controls the fleet data you generate. If it removes you, you lose access and your trips stay with the business. Our Privacy Policy explains what admins can see.
  • If you run a business on Axlerun you must: tell your drivers that their trips and location are logged, get any consent the law requires, and give the notice your state requires before tracking starts (for example 14 days' written notice under the NSW Workplace Surveillance Act 2005 and the ACT Workplace Privacy Act 2011). Axlerun is a tool; you are responsible for using it lawfully with your staff.
  • You must not use Axlerun to track a person outside a genuine business or vehicle-management purpose.

3. Plans and payment

Drive is free for 3 vehicles, paid plans are per vehicle, and you can cancel any time.

  • Current plans and prices are on our features and pricing page. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
  • Drive is free for your first 3 vehicles. Extra vehicles, and the Cruise and Turbo plans, are billed per vehicle, monthly or yearly, in advance.
  • New businesses get a 30-day Turbo trial. No card is needed. When it ends you move to Drive and keep your vehicles.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time: in the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed on your phone, or in the customer portal if you subscribed on the web. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Refunds: purchases through the App Store or Google Play are refunded under Apple's and Google's policies, not ours. For web subscriptions we don't refund unused time when you cancel; your access simply continues to the end of the paid period. This doesn't limit any refund the Australian Consumer Law entitles you to.
  • We can change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A change applies from your next renewal.
  • If a payment fails we'll retry and let you know. If it stays unpaid your plan drops to Drive. Your data stays.

4. Your data

It's yours. We only use it to run Axlerun.

  • You own the data you and your drivers put into Axlerun: vehicles, trips, documents, customers, all of it.
  • You give us permission to store, process, back up and display it so we can provide the service, and to use it in de-identified, aggregated form to improve the product.
  • You can export your logbook and reports from the app at any time. You can delete your account from Profile → Delete my account, or at axlerun.com.au/delete-account.
  • You must have the right to put the data in. For your customers' details in the jobs module, that means you collected them lawfully.
  • How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. What Axlerun does, and what it doesn't

We help you keep records. You're responsible for checking them.

  • Trip logging depends on your phone. GPS, motion detection, battery settings and OS permissions all affect whether a trip is captured, split or missed. Review your logbook before you rely on it.
  • We're not your accountant. Axlerun produces logbooks and reports in a format designed around ATO record-keeping rules, but we don't give tax, legal or financial advice and we don't guarantee the ATO will accept any particular claim. Trip classification, the 12-week period and what you lodge are your decisions.
  • AI features can be wrong. The assistant and document scanning suggest values; nothing is saved until you confirm it. Check it.
  • Reminders are a help, not a guarantee. Rego, insurance and service alerts rely on the dates you entered. Missing an alert doesn't move your legal obligations.
  • Driver scores are indicative, based on GPS-derived speed and driving events, and shouldn't be the only basis for a decision about someone's job.
  • Fuel and EV prices come from state government schemes and other sources and can be out of date. Our Disclaimer has the notices those schemes require.

6. Don't do this

The usual.

  • Don't break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or use Axlerun to harass or covertly surveil someone.
  • Don't try to break into, overload, reverse-engineer or scrape Axlerun, or resell access to it.
  • Don't upload malware, or content you don't have the right to share.
  • Don't let the app distract you while driving. Set things up before you go; the assistant and CarPlay exist so you don't have to touch your phone.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for always on, but we're software.

  • We work hard to keep Axlerun available but can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need downtime for maintenance and will try to warn you first.
  • We keep improving Axlerun and may add, change or retire features. If we retire something you're paying for, we'll tell you in advance.
  • We keep backups, but you should also export anything critical.

8. Our stuff

You own your data; we own the app.

Axlerun, its code, design, name and logo belong to us. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your business while you have an account. Feedback you send us can be used without any obligation to you.

9. Ending things

Leave whenever you like. We can suspend accounts that break the rules.

  • You can close your account at any time.
  • We can suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if the law requires it, or if it's used in a way that harms Axlerun or other users. Where we can, we'll warn you first.
  • After closure your account is deactivated and your records are kept as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Liability

Consumer guarantees stay. Beyond those, our liability is limited to what you've paid us.

  • Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Where the law lets us limit liability for breach of a consumer guarantee, we limit it to re-supplying the service or refunding what you paid for it.
  • Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from Axlerun in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or fines, penalties or tax outcomes.
  • You agree to cover us for claims that come from you using Axlerun unlawfully, including tracking people without the notice or consent the law requires.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll tell you before anything important changes.

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email. Minor changes take effect when posted with a new “Last updated” date. If you keep using Axlerun after a change takes effect, you accept it.

12. Disputes and law

Talk to us first. Victorian law applies.

If there's a problem, email hello@axlerun.com.au and we'll try to sort it out within 30 days. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we agree to the courts of Victoria.

13. App stores

If you got Axlerun from the App Store or Google Play, Apple and Google aren't party to these terms and have no obligation to support or maintain the app. Their own terms apply to your download and any purchase made through them.
