Resolve and reopen a condition report
Close off a reported defect once it's been dealt with, with a note of what was done, and reopen it if the fault comes back.
Can't find this in your app? Your business owner can switch the Condition Report module off, which hides it for everyone — there's no message when that happens. An owner or admin can turn it back on in Settings → Business settings → Active Modules.
A condition report that found a defect stays open until someone says it was dealt with. Resolving it is how a fault stops counting against the vehicle, and how the next person to look knows the tyre was replaced rather than ignored.
Owners and admins can resolve and reopen. Drivers can report a defect, but not close one off.
Mark a defect resolved
Open the report, from the vehicle's Condition list or the fleet-wide Condition Reports overview.
Find the status card. Add a note saying what was done — optional, but it is the thing the next person will want.
Tap Mark as resolved.
Resolving acts straight away and is separate from the form's Save. That is deliberate: resolving is a decision about the defect, not an edit to what was originally reported, so the driver's account of it is never quietly rewritten.
Reopen one
A resolved report shows who resolved it, when, and their note. If the fault comes back, Reopen puts it back on the books rather than making the driver file a second report for the same thing, so the history stays in one place.
What changes elsewhere
Once a report is resolved:
It carries a Resolved pill in the vehicle's list and the fleet-wide overview, so you can see at a glance what is still outstanding.
It stops counting on Home. The open condition reports card and the open-issues figure on Fleet overview count unresolved defects only, so the number falls as you work through them.
