Fleet management software built for Australia

Registration and CTP across all eight states and territories, ATO logbooks, servicing, fuel and running costs, for fleets of 2 to 50 vehicles.

Most fleet software sold in Australia was written somewhere else and adapted. That shows up in the places that matter: an FBT logbook that is not an ATO logbook, a single registration field for eight jurisdictions that renew differently, and pricing quoted before GST for a fleet size you do not have. Axlerun was built here, for the 2 to 50 vehicle businesses that run on their vehicles rather than around them. There is no hardware to install, your first three vehicles are free forever, and the price you see includes GST.

What Australian fleet software has to get right

An ATO logbook, not a mileage report

A logbook has to cover at least twelve continuous weeks, record the purpose, destination and odometer readings of every work-related journey, and it stays valid for five years. Axlerun records trips automatically from the driver's phone and, on Cruise, ranks the twelve-week periods worth nominating and exports the logbook to Excel or PDF. A vehicle with private use needs one, or FBT applies at the full statutory rate on the whole vehicle.

Eight jurisdictions, each with its own renewal

New South Wales needs a safety inspection every year once a light vehicle is five years old, and the CTP green slip is a separate purchase. Victoria bundles the TAC charge into the registration payment. Queensland and South Australia let you nominate the CTP insurer. Western Australia licenses vehicles rather than registering them, with the injury cover included. Axlerun holds registration, CTP, insurance and inspection dates per vehicle for all eight, so a fleet spread across borders is one view rather than eight habits.

Priced per vehicle, including GST

Drive is free for your first three vehicles, forever, including automatic trip recording. Beyond that it is a published price per vehicle per month with GST already in it, month to month, cancelled from the customer portal. There is no per-seat charge, no installation fee and no minimum term, because a business with six vans should not need a sales call to find out what something costs.

Australian Compliance

Fleet compliance across every Australian state and territory

Manage rego, CTP, FBT and Fuel Tax Credit requirements across every Australian state from one self-serve platform.

One platform for the whole fleet

Automatic FBT logbooks

Trips record in the background from the phone the driver already carries. Classify them business or private in bulk, and on Cruise export the ATO-compliant twelve-week logbook to Excel or PDF.

Registration, CTP and insurance dates

Every renewal held against the vehicle it belongs to, across all eight states and territories, with a fleet-wide view of what is closest to lapsing. Recording the dates is free; the alerts before they arrive are on Cruise.

Servicing by date or by odometer

Set the next service whichever way suits the vehicle and log what the work cost when it is done. Safety inspection records sit per vehicle on Cruise alongside the proactive alerts.

Fuel entries and a price locator

Fuel logged per vehicle on every plan. The cheapest-fuel and EV locator covers New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia, free in the app including on Drive.

Fines against the driver who had the vehicle

Driver allocation and fine entries are on Drive. On Cruise a fine is matched to whoever had the vehicle on the day of the offence, and driver scores are tracked.

What each vehicle actually costs

Fuel, servicing, fines and other expenses roll up per vehicle over three, six or twelve months. The reports suite on Cruise adds cost per kilometre and the fleet-wide FBT export.

Fleets in every capital

The platform is the same wherever you are, but the paperwork is not. Each city page covers what that state actually asks of a fleet, rather than the same page with the name swapped.

Built around what your business actually does

A plumber worries about after-hours callouts blurring the FBT line. A skip bin operator worries about an inspection falling due. Same records, different pressure, so each trade has its own page.

Why not enterprise telematics

Telematics is built and priced for hundreds of vehicles, and it shows: a device in every vehicle, an installer to fit it, and a contract long enough to pay for both. That is the right answer for a logistics operator and the wrong one for a business with six vans, where the person chasing a rego renewal is usually also the person driving. Axlerun has nothing to install, adds a vehicle in minutes, and bills month to month.

If you want the detail rather than the summary, the comparison pages put Axlerun against the products people actually shortlist, with every claim about a rival sourced to that vendor’s own page. Start with fleet management software versus telematics if you are still deciding which category you need, or the Australian round-up if you are shortlisting. Pricing for every plan is on the features and pricing page.
