Auto-classify recurring trips

Most fleets drive the same shape of week over and over. An auto-classification rule captures that shape once, and every trip that matches it arrives already classified — business or private, with a purpose attached — so the unclassified queue only holds the trips that genuinely need a decision.

Create a rule

Open Settings → Automatic FBT Logging → Auto-Classification, or use the gear shortcut on the Logbook tab, then tap + Add rule.

1. Give the rule a Rule name you'll recognise later — "Weekday job runs".

2. Pick the Vehicle it applies to, or leave it on All vehicles. This picker only appears once you have more than one vehicle.

3. Choose the Days with the day chips, then a Start time and End time.

4. Set the outcome: Business or Private, and for business trips a Trip purpose — either one of your saved purposes or Something else with your own wording.

5. Save. The rule takes effect for trips that close from then on.

Things worth knowing

• Rules run on our side, not on the phone. A trip is classified when it closes, whether or not the app is open at the time. You don't have to launch Axlerun for the rules to fire.
• Times are your local wall clock. The rule stores the driver's timezone, so a Perth 8am–6pm rule matches Perth mornings, not eastern ones — and daylight saving doesn't shift it.
• Overlaps are resolved by order. When two rules could both match a trip, the higher one in the list wins. Axlerun flags overlapping rules in the list so you can see which pairs are competing.
• A business rule needs a purpose. That's what makes the trip export-ready — a business trip without a purpose is the single most common thing that holds an FBT export up.
