Axlerun helps you keep vehicle records. This page is the honest version of what that does and doesn't mean. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Not tax, legal or financial advice

Axlerun's logbooks, FBT summaries and reports are record-keeping tools built around ATO requirements. They aren't advice, and using Axlerun doesn't guarantee the ATO will accept a claim. Which trips are business, which 12-week period you use, and what you lodge are decisions for you and your accountant.

Trips are logged by your phone

Automatic logging uses GPS and motion detection and depends on your device, its settings, battery and permissions. Trips can be missed, split, merged or start late. Check your logbook, especially before an export.

AI can be wrong

The voice assistant and document scanning (fuel receipts, fines, odometer photos) propose values. Nothing is saved until you confirm it. Treat every suggestion as a draft.

Alerts depend on what you entered

Rego, insurance, service and inspection reminders are only as accurate as the dates and readings in your account. An alert you didn't get doesn't change a deadline you have.

Driver scores are indicative

Scores and overspeed reports are calculated from GPS-derived speed and driving events, which carry their own error. Use them as a conversation starter, not as the only evidence for a decision about someone's job.

Vehicle details from plate lookup

Make, model, year and registration details returned when you enter a plate are supplied by MotorWeb from registry data and may be incomplete or out of date. Check them against your registration papers.

Fuel and EV prices

Prices in the locator come from state government fuel-price schemes and other sources, are shown as supplied, and can be out of date. The scheme licences require these notices:

  • South Australia: Based on or contains data provided by the State of South Australia (Office of Consumer and Business Services 2021-2023. Copyright of the State of South Australia
  • Queensland: © State of Queensland (Department of Energy and Climate) 2026. In consideration of the State permitting use of this data you acknowledge and agree that the State gives no warranty in relation to the data (including accuracy, reliability, completeness, currency or suitability) and accepts no liability (including without limitation, liability in negligence) for any loss, damage or costs (including consequential damage) relating to any use of the data. Data must not be used for direct marketing or be used in breach of the privacy laws.
  • Victoria: © State of Victoria accessed via the Victorian Government Service Victoria Platform.
  • Data from other states and territories is used under the terms published by each scheme.

To report a wrong price, use “Report a price problem” on the station in the app.

Don't use it while driving

Set up trips, the assistant and CarPlay before you move. Never interact with your phone while the vehicle is in motion.
