Track outside Australia

Whether Axlerun keeps location recorded beyond the Australian border, and what happens to it when the setting is off.

Can't find this in your app? Your business owner can switch the Location module off, which hides it for everyone — there's no message when that happens. An owner or admin can turn it back on in Settings → Business settings → Active Modules.

Axlerun is built for Australian fleets, so by default it only keeps location recorded inside Australia. Anything recorded outside the country is discarded when the phone uploads and never becomes a trip.

For most fleets that is the right behaviour and there is nothing to do. If your vehicles cross the border, turn it on.

Turn it on

  1. Open Modules & Settings and find the Location card.

  2. Switch on Track outside Australia.

This is a business-wide setting, set by an owner or admin. There is no per-driver version of it: either the fleet records trips outside Australia or it does not.

What "discarded" means

With the setting off, the phone still records as normal while a driver is out of the country — it has no way of knowing in advance — but the server drops those records on arrival. They do not become trips, they do not appear in anyone's logbook, and they are not kept.

This is not an error, and Axlerun does not treat it as one. Location Diagnostics reports records dropped for being outside the region as an informational notice, separately from genuine upload failures, so a trip to New Zealand never looks like a broken phone.

Turning the setting on applies from that moment. It does not bring back trips that were already discarded, so switch it on before a trip abroad rather than after.
