GOFAR is a small device that plugs into a car's diagnostic port and pairs with a phone. Once it is in, every trip records without the driver touching anything, and the app reads engine fault codes and fuel economy from the same port. Axlerun records trips from the phone itself, with no device, and treats the logbook as one record among the rego, servicing, fuel, tolls and fines a business vehicle accumulates. The trade is a piece of hardware per car against software that covers the fleet.
